FAQ

Questions?
We've got you.

Everything you need to know
before your first class.

1Do I need Pilates experience?
Not at all. Our classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with previous Pilates experience. We’ll guide you through the movements and help you work at a level that feels right for you.
2How many people are in each class?
Our group sessions are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of four clients per class. This allows us to offer individual attention while keeping the energy and enjoyment of a group setting.
3What should I wear?
Comfortable, fitted activewear is best so your instructor can clearly see your alignment and movement. Grip socks are required for both hygiene and safety.
4Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself, your grip socks and some water. Everything else you need for your session is provided in the studio.
5How long is a session?
All group Pilates sessions are 50 minutes.
6How often should I do Pilates?
It depends on your goals and schedule. For most clients, one to two sessions per week is a great place to start. Consistency is far more important than doing lots of sessions occasionally.
7Can I book a private session?
Yes. We offer both private and duo sessions for clients who would like a more personalised experience, want to work towards specific goals or simply prefer more individual attention.
8Can I come if I have an injury or medical condition?
Please let us know before booking if you have an injury, recent surgery, pregnancy or any medical condition that may affect your ability to exercise. Depending on your circumstances, we may ask you to obtain medical clearance before taking part.
9Can I do Pilates while pregnant?
Pilates may be suitable during pregnancy, depending on your individual circumstances and stage of pregnancy. Please contact us before booking so we can discuss your needs and whether medical clearance may be required.
10How do I book a session?
At True Form we believe that every interaction is meaningful.  You can call or message on what’s app, national line or email at info@trueformpilates.pt
11What happens if I need to cancel?
We understand that plans sometimes change. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class may be charged or the session deducted from your package.
12What happens if I’m late?
Please arrive a few minutes before your session so you have time to get settled. If you arrive late, your session will still finish at the scheduled time.
13Do I need to arrive early for my first class?
We recommend arriving around 10 minutes before your first session. This gives you time to find parking, get settled, meet your instructor and become familiar with the studio and equipment before your class begins.
14Are grip socks compulsory?
Yes. Grip socks are required during all Pilates sessions for hygiene, comfort and safety.
15Is there parking available?
Yes, parking is available close to the studio. Depending on the time of your class, the area can become busy, so we recommend arriving a little early to allow enough time to find a space.
16How far in advance should I book?
Because our classes have a maximum of four clients, popular times may fill quickly. We recommend booking ahead to secure the sessions that work best for you.
